Facebook Rolls Out New Features for Insights, Page Management

UntitledFacebook is rolling out some new features for its business pages. I’m not sure when they will be available to everyone, so be on the watch for them.

Monitor Admin Posts & Comments

The first change is geared for pages with multiple administrators. Starting Feb. 20, Facebook will let you keep track of who posted something. The name of the admin who posted to the page will be listed below the name of your page next to “Posted by.” On a Page comment, the name of the person who commented will be listed below the comment next to “Commented by.” These notifications are for internal use only. Your fans won’t see them. Only Page managers will see them.

Facebook says you can also see who posted or scheduled posts in your Page’s activity log.

Pages to Watch Added to Page Insights

The second new feature involves Pages to Watch, a tool that has been in trial mode for several months. If you have been able to take advantage of this feature to monitor the number of likes your competitors have, you’ll be able to dive deeper into their data now.

Pages to Watch has been added to Insights, and in addition to the total number of page likes and new page likes displayed, you can see how many times the page posted each week, as well the number of engaged fans. It’s a good way to benchmark yourself against the competition.
