Midlife Serenity: Stop Carrying What Was Never Yours to Control

What if some of the stress you’re carrying in your business isn’t yours to carry at all? In this episode, I’m taking a fresh look at the Serenity Prayer and what it can teach us about building a business in midlife: accepting what you can’t control, having the courage to change what you can, and developing the wisdom to know the difference.

If you’re a woman over 50 who feels stretched thin by the demands of your business, you’ll discover practical ways to shift your focus from controlling outcomes to taking aligned action. And at the end, I’ll share a short Light Language message to help you release what you can’t control and reconnect you with your inner wisdom.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • The difference between controlling outcomes (you can’t) and controlling the actions that make good outcomes more likely (you can), with practical shifts for not getting enough clients, feeling invisible online, and “they love my work, but they don’t buy.”
  • Why the fear of being judged can grow as we age, and how mirror work and small, steady acts of visibility help you get comfortable in your own skin.
  • How one hesitant email changed my business, and why letting go of attachment to the outcome makes every brave step after it easier.
  • The 15-Minute Serenity CEO Check-In: three simple lists (Let Go or Accept, Act On This Week, Learn or Decide), plus one specific courage action to complete in the next 48 hours.

Words to Remember
Serenity is not passivity. It’s confident focus. Courage is not the absense of fear. It’s choosing the next aligned action despite fear. And wisdom is knowing that your success doesn’t require you to do everything. It requires you to do the right things consistently.
