Namaste. If you’ve been moving at the speed of business, checking off tasks, chasing goals, and somewhere along the way forgot to acknowledge how far you’ve actually come, well, this episode is your permission slip to stop, breathe and celebrate. But first, I want to welcome you to Live Love Engage. Especially if this is your first time tuning in. I am Gloria Grace, founder of Align to Shine Academy, and I empower women entrepreneurs to step into their highest potential with clarity and confidence. Now, as heart centered entrepreneurs, we are so often focused on serving others that we sometimes neglect to witness our own transformation. But today, we’re going to be changing that pattern. Now, as I’m recording this, it is the end of the first quarter of 2025. And if this brought you unexpected success or maybe some beautiful lessons disguised as challenges, I promise that you have grown more than you realize. And I encourage you to maybe pause this for a second, go pour yourself a cup of tea, grab your journal to take some notes, and let’s create a sacred space so that we can honor your journey. Because you know what? The woman who started this year is not the same woman who’s listening right now. And that evolution deserves to be celebrated. And I gotta tell you, I know this because I know that I am not the same woman that I was three months ago. I’ve done something this year that has been like something that I should have been doing a long time ago. And, you know, well, better late than never, I always say, because I’ve been much more organized in my business this year. And I mean, for one thing, I’ve been. Now, some people do this digitally, but I’m old school, I like to write stuff down. So I, I followed a guy a couple years ago, actually. In fact, these books are about two years, two years old. And I let them sit on my bookshelf. And finally this year I was ready to actually do this. And it has a. A place to set weekly goals and daily goals and quarterly goals. And so I’m going to be going over this very soon and, and looking at how I did. And I, I kind of have an idea because it involves doing like weekly checkups. So what I want to talk about first though, is that, okay, as business owners, okay, we have to be real. I mean, I know that it is important and they. Anybody who’s any good at being like a business coach will drum it into you. You gotta know your numbers, know your numbers, and they’re right. I’ve learned that lesson too. I know. And then, you know, you’ve got to be able to look at what’s been going on. But I want you to treat this as not necessarily a critical review. I would invite you to think of this more as a sacred reflection because of course, we are heart centered entrepreneurs. And I’m guessing that if you are, have been listening to this podcast for any amount of time, you are likely a spiritual entrepreneur as well. So be kind to yourself. Approach this process of re, you know, reviewing the last three months. Approach it with an open heart because there may be some areas that you didn’t meet your goals. So don’t beat yourself up over it. Think about, especially if there, I mean, if there were places that you did, yay, celebrate, do a happy dance, whatever you want to do. And if there were places that didn’t quite work out, do some. So I was going to say critical evaluation, but I’m not thinking of critical as in criticizing. I’m thinking more as evaluating it with an unbiased eye. Yeah, that’s a good way to say it. Was there anything out of control, out of your control that contributed to you’re not hitting that goal? Maybe you maybe had a client cancel, maybe they had to even cancel their coaching sessions with you because something happened in their family that they weren’t able to do it anymore. So you, you can’t, you know, it’s, it’s disappointing, of course, if you lost out on that, that income that you were counting on. But whatever happened in their life likely is a lot worse and that’s why they had to cancel. So, so think about that and also reflect on how were you functioning not only in the business, but how was your personal health, let’s say, how was your mental health, your spiritual health? How were you during these past three months? Were you stressed? Were you ill at any part of those times? All of these things can contribute to how you perform in your business. Even though we want to be able to do our best at all times, we also are human and stuff happens sometimes. So you want to look at, when you’re going over things you want to look at, okay, what were your business achievements? You know, what are the tangible outcomes? You know, what’s your, what were your revenue? Did you meet your revenue goals and things like that? Also look at personal, personal growth. Did you have any internal shifts? Perhaps? Like I say, I think one of mine has been this, for me is doing this daily habit of recording what went on in my business that day. Because I, I will, I will set up like four must dos that I, that I want to get done and then I also have some habits that I want to do. And so I’ve been tracking and keeping track, like the number of days and that I do those. Like. Like last night I didn’t fill out my planner at the end of the night because I went to an event and I totally slipped my mind when I came home. So it’s like, oh, okay, I guess we’re starting day one now, tomorrow, because I intend to fill it out tonight. So, you know, it’s like, oh, well, you know, life happens sometimes. So. But the fact that I have been doing that, I think has made me more cognizant of what am I doing in my business. And so that really has been a good internal shift for me. Spiritual connection. Are you aligned with your purpose? Are you, Are you. Is your business really reflecting your heart? And if not, I’m gonna. I’m gonna put in a quick plug right now for something. Is that on April 5, 2025, I am CO hosting with Jennifer Regular. We are co facilitating, not really co hosting. We are co facilitating a retreat called Live youe Light. Illuminate your path. And this is a really good opportunity for you to take a look at where you are in your business and see where you need support on being more aligned with your purpose. So if you go to bit, ly, capital L, capital Y, capital L and then lowercase retreat, you’ll be able to get all the information about the retreat and see if that’s something that speaks to you. And I’ll also have that in the show notes as well because you might. You might want to check it out. All right. Oh, and here’s a good question to ask yourself too. What internal shift or growth are you most proud of? Even if no one else sees it? I think that’s good to know too. I think that’s. That’s an important thing. Now let’s talk about. You know, I mentioned earlier about the critical. About critical review and that. That I do mean more of the criticizing type of review. And, and sometimes one when we are. Especially if you are. Grew up in a dysfunctional family, you know, maybe there was alcoholism or abuse of some type. And now for me it was alcoholism. My dad was an alcoholic. So we, it’s. It wasn’t really. We were. I was just expected to succeed. I wasn’t like, you know, patted on the back for it. And so sometimes we find it challenging, I’m gonna say, to. To pat ourselves on the back to really acknowledge our success. And we kind of downplay it. And this is what I teach When I teach the. The Love method. Part of the Love method. The V. LOVE is an acronym. L, O V E stands for value your uniqueness to celebrate how special, you know, how talented you are in, in your business or whatever it is. But to really acknowledge that and appreciate it. Because if you don’t appreciate it, then it probably is going to be hard for some other people to appreciate it. And also maybe it’s a. But, uh, if you don’t, if you don’t appreciate it, then you should check and see if others have appreciated you. So if people have left you testimonials, for instance, you want to be able to keep a journal of those so that you can go in and remind yourself, oh yeah, I did do a good job. Oh yeah, that’s right. Yeah, I do know my stuff and be able to appreciate that. So when you’re doing this first quarter review or whatever quarter, if you happen to stumble onto this episode at a later time, maybe it’s your second quarter, third quarter. How can you honor your unique journey while still striving for growth? And again, no matter how things shake out as you look at, you know, did you, you know, did you hit your targets or not? Remember, you did the best you could at the time and you can always improve in this next three months. So. Or you can continue to rock it, whatever. And also acknowledge that even if things went really great this time, there is the possibility that something might not happen next time. And so you could prepare yourself now for that. So, you know, and I mean this really mentally and spiritually to be able to say, okay, if I do, you know, life, like life likes to throw us curveballs. I was going to say lemons, but you know, but, but yeah, and lemons. So how are you going to make lemonade out of it when it happens? Because stuff does happen no matter what. But I had a lot of. I don’t know if they’ve aired yet, but I know I’ve done some interviews with people talking about resilience. So if it hasn’t aired yet, watch for them. They will be coming out later this year. Because it’s a, it’s about really about building that resilience muscle that you have so that you can manage when things don’t always go well. Great. All right, so I, I mentioned a little bit about doing a happy dance, you know, if things went great. So, yeah, celebrate, celebrate, celebrate. Even if you didn’t hit your goals. What, what, what are you talking about? That’s stupid. Why would I celebrate if I didn’t hit my goals. No, you know what, Celebrate anyway. Because when you celebrate now, depending on what you like to do, maybe it is dancing, maybe it’s rewarding yourself somehow. Maybe it’s just writing down all of the great things, maybe creating some sort of celebration board, you know, maybe use Canva or something. When you are celebrating, that raises your vibration so that it will help you going forward. Because the more you can really be uplifted in what you’re doing, whatever it is, you know, in your personal life or in your professional life, then when you enjoy, when you are happy, you’re going to be much more inclined to really do good work. And I’m going to give you an example of this. So every month at the end of the month, I send out a. A monthly newsletter to my email subscribers. If you’re not subscribed, you should, you know, let me know. There are ways of doing that. In fact, you could, you could get a free sign up for my free meditation right here. And then you will join my email list by doing. What was the point I was trying to make? Okay, so. Oh, yes. So. So this week I’m working on this email newsletter and I’m like, I want to send it out on Thursday. And this was Monday. And so I started, I opened up my. I use ActiveCampaign for my email. And I got the form ready and I looked at that page and went, I have no idea what I want to say. I got no idea. I am not in the mood for this. I do not want to do this. Nope, you know, it’s not due until Thursday. I’m gonna go do something else. And that’s what I did. I went and did something else because my heart was not in it. Now, yesterday, I think I’d put on music. I think I had music on. And see, I think I didn’t have any music on that time. I should have done that. But yesterday I had some music going in my office and I was kind of dancing around and I’m like, okay, let me see if I can. Let’s tackle this thing again. And so I got into Active campaign and I opened up my campaign and I started going, okay, let’s see, what can I talk about? Let’s see April. And. And it started flowing and I got it done probably within a half an hour. I, you know, did a first draft, kind of went back in, tweaked it some more, kept tweaking, and then I was happy with it. But the difference was my mood. I had to get into that high Vibration state in order to do it. Now. Now some things, you know, you may not need to be. Maybe there’s something that you know that’s easy peasy for you, but if you face, if you have some sort of challenge then. And I know I’m getting off track here from the quarterly thing, but I just think this is important is when you do have something that you have to get done and you’re not motivated, then figure out some way to get motivated. And I know if I was on deadline, if it was Thursday when I knew, knew that I, I always send it out at like 11 o’clock in the morning on Thursday, if it was Thursday at 9:00 in the morning and I hadn’t had it done yet, I would have like lit a fire under my butt and put on some music or something to get me motivated to do it. But that’s me. And I do thrive sometimes when I really do, we’ll get stuff done. When I have a deadline staring me in the face, I think it’s all the years I spent working in live television where we had to get a show on the air at 6:30pm so you got to be ready. But I don’t always like to do that. I do like to do things ahead of time is, you know, when you’re under a deadline that really gets your stress level up. I would rather be relaxed and happy and creating. So. So think of as you’re doing your quarterly review, say I’m getting back to it now. What three business wins? Ask yourself what three business wins, no matter how small, can I acknowledge from the first quarter? Because likely, even if you had the suckiest quarter, I bet you there was still something good that happened. I challenge you. I’m sure there was. So find it and celebrate it and say more, I want more of this, please, next quarter and work on that. And also, as you’re looking at things now, here’s a good. Something to consider as well is to think about what lesson from the first quarter or lessons do I want to carry forward into the next quarter or maybe what lessons do I not want to. Maybe, maybe I learned a lesson that, oh, I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t want to do that again. So. Well, I guess that is a lesson you’re going to carry forward, isn’t it? Yeah. Because sometimes, sometimes they’re positive lessons and sometimes they’re not so positive and so think about that. What, what, you know, what changes, what adjustments can you make going forward to see if you can get some different results. And again, maybe it’s more of the same because maybe you had good stuff. And yay, yay for you. So keep on, keep on keeping on. And also, if you did have something that didn’t serve you, release it with gratitude. Say, thank you. Thank you. I appreciate you, but we’re not going to do that again. Good experiment didn’t work. Okay, lesson learned. And then set some intentions for the second for this next quarter that are going to honor both your business needs and your own personal rhythm. So figure out maybe, like, like I said, you know, I’ve been doing things a certain way, but maybe you’re. I’m also a morning person, so I get up early in the morning and, And. And especially I like to do a lot of, like, really well, sometimes it’s the things I really, really got to get done. I want to take. Take care of those, get them done early. Sometimes I’ll let more fun stuff, like maybe like creating graphics in Canva. Maybe save that for the afternoon when I kind of don’t have that time pressure or, you know, really some. It’s. It’s. It’s more of a fun thing rather than a. I don’t even know what I’m trying to say. Oh, whatever. Anyway, figure out if you’re a nighttime person, then maybe you figure out a different schedule for. For night time. I get. That’s. That’s the point I’m trying to make here. Oh, goodness. Okay. All right. I hope. I hope you’ve received some value out of this today, and I hope that you will. The. The real lesson I want to leave with you before I. Before I leave you today is to don’t be hard on yourself. Celebrate whatever happened. Like I said, even if you didn’t meet your goals, celebrate whatever you did. Because here’s the thing. You got through the first three months of the year. You’re still here. You’re alive. You’re listening to this podcast today. Yay for you. Celebrate that. And know that every day is a new day. Every minute is a new minute, and you get to choose how you want to be, how you want to. What you want to do in every minute of every single day. And so you can always course correct whenever you want. You don’t have to wait for the end of a quarter. You can change gears midstream, and that’s okay. And love yourself. No matter what. Love yourself. Remember that you are always doing the best you can with the information and the knowledge and the wisdom that you have at this moment. And if you need support. There is support available to you. You can find support with me. You can find support with some other coach. You can find it in a group. You don’t have to go through anything in this world alone. It is so important to have support. Yeah. So I’m here for you. There are others here for you. You know and wherever, but know that also your. Your higher self is there for you. Source, creator, God. Your higher self. You can always go within and start there first. And then if you don’t find the answers, then you can start looking elsewhere. But always start within. Be still and know. It’s an important phrase. It’s a wise phrase, because it really does. It does work. It does matter. It. It’s the truth. Oh, yeah. Be still and know and allow your inner voice to speak to you. The more often you do that, the more often you are still, the louder that voice gets. And it will help you. It will guide you. And it may guide you to seek somebody else for help, because that’s how it works, too. So again, you don’t have to rely only on yourself and your higher self, because sometimes the higher self says, hey, go call that person. They’re can. They can help you with this. Go Google it. Google can help you find something. So my daughter, I’m hearing my daughter’s voice in my ear. She. If I. If I asked her for how to do something, she’d be like, mom, just go to Google or go to YouTube. You’ll find it. Kids, they’re so wise. All right, thank you for being with me today. And I am so grateful for every single one of you who listens to this podcast on the different podcast platforms, who watch this podcast on YouTube. I am so grateful for each and every one of you. And if this has been your first time, I hope you’ll come back. I hope I haven’t scared you off, and I hope you will subscribe on your favorite platform. And until we meet again, I encourage you to go out and live fully, love deeply, and engage authentically.
