4 Ways to Leverage Your Blog Content to Get More Leads

Do you spend a lot of time blogging for your business? If so, make sure you take advantage of the many ways to repurpose your blog content, so you get the most mileage out of it.  The more visible your content is on the web, the better chance you’ll have to attract more traffic, more leads, more clients and more opportunities for your business.

Another reason to leverage your blog content is that people learn in different ways. Some learn more by listening to information, while others need to see and hear subject matter at the same time. The more variety of  formats you use to convey your subject, the more people you’ll be able to reach.

**Important tip – Include a URL on all of your repurposed content you can direct people to your website, blog or landing page.

Here are 4 ways you can repurpose your blog content:

1. Article Marketing – Convert your blog into an article and submit it to one of the free article directories, like Ezinearticles.com. Articles are usually longer than blog posts – in the 500-700 word range – so you’ll probably have to flesh out your blog post, by adding more content. Remember to tweak the title, and include keywords in it.  You can also convert it to a PDF file and submit to a document sharing site like Scribd or Yudu.

2. Video – Make a video of your blog post and submit it to video sharing sites like YouTube or Viddler.  You can record yourself as a talking head, or create a PowerPoint with voice over. Another option is to do a screencast, which is like recording your onscreen actions. Camtasia can help you do that.

3. Slide Show – If you create a PowerPoint for video, you can also post it on Slideshare.net. Remember to make the presentation interesting – include bullet points, add images and an audio voice over.

4. Audio – Converting your blog post into an audio recording is also a great way to repurpose your content.  There are free sites that will allow you to post audio recordings such as Audacity.sourceforge.net or Audioboo. You can also turn your audio file into a podcast and distribute it on iTunes.  Another option is BlogTalkRadio, where you can create your own live radio show, and upload audio files there and move them into a podcast.

I recently started using Audioboo myself. Here is the first recording I did: 3 Sources to Find Content to Share on Twitter
