Images are an important component of any business’ social media marketing strategy. Adding an image to a blog article, Facebook or Twitter post can help reinforce the point you’re trying to convey. The best social media images are ones that drive engagement – likes, comments and shares – with your fans and followers. The more engagement, the better chance you have of turning those fans into customers.
The challenge with creating images for social media is that not all images are equal across the different social networking channels. You can’t just create one image and expect it to display properly on Facebook, Google+ or Twitter.
That would be too easy! 🙂
Luckily, the folks at setupablogtoday.com have put together a handy infographic with the current requirements for image sizes across several social networks. Note that I said “current.” Don’t count on these sizes lasting forever. As we all know, there’s nothing constant about social media. It’s always evolving. You’d be wise to keep an eye out for any changes that may occur in the future.
