releasing the past

Releasing the Past to Focus on Joy

Almost one in five adult Americans, or roughly 18%, lived with an alcoholic while growing up, according to the National Association for Children of Alcoholics. I’m one of those Americans. I grew up with an alcoholic father, as well as an emotionally abusive mother, and it’s taken me years to heal from the trauma. Frankly, I’m still working on releasing the past.

This week on the Live. Love. Engage. Podcast:

    • I talk about my efforts to write a new story of my life, one that’s focused on creating joy.
    • You’ll learn why I work with a coach.
    • I share the role music is playing in my healing journey.
