How to Add Recommendations to Your Facebook Business Page

Wouldn’t it be nice to display recommendations from your customers right on your Facebook business page? Local businesses, like restaurants, have had this capability for a long time now. But companies and organizations can add this feature to their page too. Imagine what this will do for your business when visitors to your page see a list of glowing recommendations!

Here’s how to install the recommendations box:

1. Go to your fan page

2. Click “EDIT PAGE” in the upper right corner of your Admin Panel

3. Click “EDIT SETTINGS”

4. Click “PAGE INFO”

5. Scroll to “ADDRESS” and enter a valid address – complete with street name and number. A city and state will not be enough. Then, check the box that says “show this map on your page…”

Once you check this box, the recommendations box will automatically appear on your Facebook page. There is no extra step you need to take to add the recommendations box.

Be aware that this action will also make the map appear automatically as the 2nd app tab image by default. You can rearrange your app tab images to customize your ordering by clicking on the pencil icon in the upper right hand corner of the image.

A drop-down menu will then appear giving you the option to swap images with one of your other page apps.

This is what the recommendations box will look like once it’s installed on your page:

This feature will also enable people to “check-in” to your page, but you don’t have to promote this action, unless you want to.
