TRANSCRIPT – Awaken Your Creativity: Content Creation with Heart and Soul
Episode featuring a transformative content creation process for women entrepreneurs over 50
Introduction: When Life Challenges Impact Your Content
Namaste. If you’re feeling lost, in transition, maybe unsure of your next steps and stuck for ideas when it comes to content marketing, today’s episode is for you. I’m going to be sharing a process that will allow you to tap into your inner wisdom and create content that aligns with your soul and attracts who you want to work with.
Welcome to Live Love Engage, especially if you are new. I am Gloria Grace, founder of Align to Shine Academy, and I empower women over 50 and especially women entrepreneurs over 50 to overcome life’s challenges so they can embrace who they are, lead boldly and shine their light in the world.
Life Transitions That Disrupt Content Creation
Common Life Changes After 50
When you reach a certain stage in life – and most of my audience is over 40 – you most likely have possibly become an empty nester or are about to become one. You may be going through relationship changes. Life happens. We get to midlife and sometimes it’s losing a spouse to death, unfortunately, or a marriage breaking up.
Maybe you’ve lost a loved one – it doesn’t have to be a spouse. It could be a really close family member, like I went through when I lost my sister a few years ago. She was the last member of my immediate family that I grew up with.
How Life Challenges Affect Business Owners
When these things happen as business owners, they can really throw a wrench in the works and cause a lot of upheaval. For instance, you may have been a very spiritual person your whole life, and now suddenly, because of this life challenge, you’re not feeling so spiritual anymore.
That’s what happened to me when my sister passed. I had been meditating daily for about six years, and it had really helped me through helping her with her cancer journey. But after she passed, I really felt alone and didn’t feel that strong connection to my higher power, to my higher self, to God, Source, universe – however you want to call it.
A Message of Hope for Those Struggling
If you are right now going through something like that, and it may seem really challenging, and you’re like “Am I ever going to feel like myself again?” – you will. You will. I’m feeling very emotional because I feel like there is somebody out there listening to this right now who is feeling that way. So I just want you to know that you’ll get there.
The Importance of Getting Support
Don’t Go Through Challenges Alone
Don’t think you have to do this alone. For me, I went to group grief counseling sessions a couple times. I went to a counselor. I did a lot of alternative healing modalities. I was in a mastermind at the time with wonderful, supportive people who helped me. I worked with different coaches along the way.
When we’re going through stuff, we get in our own little head and can’t see the forest for the trees. If I’m speaking to you, pay attention – get help. You can schedule a call at engagewithgloria.com and let’s chat. Either I can help you directly or I’ll point you in the right direction.
When Content Creation Becomes Challenging
The Struggle with Authentic Content During Crisis
When you go through these life challenges, it can make it challenging to create content, even on a regular basis, or content that feels genuine. Sometimes we may wind up buying programs that we think are going to help us, but because we’re still in the midst of this life-changing thing, we’re not able to give 100% to it.
My Personal Experience with Misaligned Content
I went through this a couple years ago when I separated from my husband. I thought this was great – I’m on my own, this is what I wanted. But I had to go through some grieving of the marriage that didn’t last like I intended when we set our vows 30-plus years ago.
I enrolled in a program to help me create a coaching program. I was following their recommendations, and some of the content I created got engagement, but it didn’t result in sales. I didn’t get any new clients. My belief now is that I wasn’t fully ready and wasn’t aligned with my soul.
Learning from Mistakes
I’ve since learned to take my time before making decisions because I’m a manifesting generator in human design. I need to sit with something before I invest. With that program, I probably saw it and thought “This is what I need” and invested right away. It didn’t work so well, but I learned some good stuff.
The Importance of Self-Forgiveness
We make mistakes and it’s okay. Self-forgiveness is really important. You want to give yourself some grace and know that sometimes you may make a mistake when you’re in the throes of something. Just forgive yourself and try again.
Understanding Divine Downloads
What Are Divine Downloads?
There’s a term I’ve used before called a “divine download.” Essentially, it’s inspiration that comes out of nowhere. If you’re a regular subscriber of this podcast, you know that inspiration really comes from your higher self or God or Source – whatever your beliefs are.
My First Major Divine Download
One of the first times I had a major divine download was when the idea popped in my head while I was meditating to write a book about love. I thought that was crazy. But I do have a book now called “Live Love Engage: How to Stop Doubting Yourself and Start Being Yourself,” which includes the Love method. Love is an acronym. That’s an example of a divine download.
How Divine Downloads Show Up
It’s that sudden inspiration that comes to you. It can also be that idea that pops in your head while you’re in the shower or doing dishes. It doesn’t have to be during meditation. Guidance can show up in conversations with people – maybe there’s a recurring theme that comes up.
A Recent Example of Divine Guidance
A couple weeks back, I was reading a book by an old client of mine, Vicki Kennedy. It’s called “It’s Never Personal” – I highly recommend it. She’s a psychologist who weaves in spirituality, Buddhism, and Hinduism.
As I was reading this book, I suddenly got this thought that when I wrote about the love method in my book, there was something before that needed to be talked about that I didn’t do. The L in the love method stands for “let go and let God,” including letting go of limiting beliefs. I realized it might be helpful if, before you delve into the love method, you figure out what your limiting beliefs are.
Following the Divine Guidance
Two days ago, I went to an event where a wonderful coach led us through a meditation where we reflected on our life ending. What came up for me was that before I leave this planet, I need to work on this new idea. Yesterday I spent about a half hour starting to write about it.
Then this morning, as I was recording this (it’s a Wednesday and normally I record a ten-minute Wisdom Wednesday), today’s Daily Word was about teenagers – not really my demographic. As I was doing something, maybe journaling, it hit me that I could do a Wisdom Wednesday on one of my values. One of my values is authenticity, and I found a wonderful message in their archive.
The Wealth of Your Inner Wisdom
You have a wealth of experience in your life. Spending time in reflection and getting to know and trust those inner hits – these sparks of inspiration – is really great because you’ll start to listen to them more and more, and you’ll get more and more of them.
Common Blocks to Inner Wisdom
Perfectionism
Some common blocks that might come up, especially if you’re going through transition, include perfectionism. That can keep you from sharing content or even creating content because you’re spending too much time overanalyzing and wanting it to be perfect.
There’s a great quote from Napoleon Hill: “It’ll never be just right, so don’t wait. Go ahead and create content.” When you can create it from your heart, that’s going to be good.
External Validation
Sometimes we want external validation – somebody else’s opinion. If you’re in a coaching program working with a coach, it can be good to get somebody else’s opinion, but then you have to use your own discernment and decide whether to follow that person’s advice.
This process of learning how to trust yourself is so necessary. When you’re going through life stuff, you might forget how to do that, and that’s okay. Give yourself some time and space.
Taking Breaks from Business
That might mean putting your business on the back burner temporarily or putting some of your content creation on hold. I’ve seen people posting that they’ve been away for a little bit – they needed some self-care time, but now they’re back. It’s absolutely okay to take time away from social media.
Make sure your business can withstand that. Ideally, you have some pieces in place that are already generating income, especially if this is your number one source of income. Have some way to continue getting income while you take a break from marketing – maybe schedule things ahead or hire a virtual assistant.
Introducing the SACRED Method
Created with AI Assistance
I’m going to be 100% transparent and share that I created this process – actually, it was created for me by Claude AI. Claude came up with the concept based on interactions with me. There are a lot of people freaking out about AI, but it can be very helpful.
After it came up with this, I went on Perplexity AI and Google to search because I wanted to make sure nobody else was using this – I didn’t want copyright infringement. This is something I may wind up trademarking because I’ve tweaked some of this. One of the letters I actually changed because I didn’t like it.
You can use AI for inspiration and sometimes have it help you create something new, but then you put your own spin on it. It came up with a lovely outline of bullet points, but now I’m walking you through it and putting my secret sauce into it.
The SACRED Method Overview
It’s to help you get into that wonderful state of mind to start fostering inspiration for your content creation. It’s called the SACRED Method. SACRED is an acronym.
S – Silence and Stillness
The Foundation of Inner Wisdom
If you’ve listened to any of my episodes, especially my solo ones, you know I love the phrase “be still and know.” I am a huge proponent of meditation. When you can be quiet – and you can listen to maybe soothing music with different hertz frequencies that are really good for you.
Daily Practice Recommendations
For me, I do it every morning. You have to figure out what time of day works best for you. Spend at least five minutes a day – you can carve out five minutes no matter how busy your life and business are.
Even if it’s not meditating, maybe it’s just sitting. I’ve done this too – just sat in my living room and stared out the window. If thoughts come in your head like “I’ve got to get groceries” or “I need to make dinner,” just say “okay, thank you,” and then look out and see if you can find a bird or a pretty tree or flowers and focus on that for a few minutes.
Benefits of Stillness
The more you do this, there are physical benefits – it helps your blood pressure and certainly lowers your stress level. Give yourself that gift of being still because that’s what opens up that channel for inspiration. When we’ve got the monkey mind going, how are you going to hear anything?
A – Ask with Intention
Preparing for Inspiration
I don’t often do this, but I might start adding this into my routine. Maybe even before you sit down to meditate, ask yourself these questions:
- What does my audience need to hear most from me today?
- What lesson am I currently learning that could serve others?
- What boundary do I need to model in my business?
I like the first two in particular. This would be good before you even sit down to be still.
C – Capture Without Judgment
Recording Divine Downloads
When those ideas pop into your head, write them down and don’t overthink it. Your right brain – your intuitive side – is being activated. Let that flow because later you can tap into the left side (logical) and refine it.
Methods for Capturing Ideas
Allow whatever comes through to come through. Make a voice memo on your phone or jot things down. Sometimes you’ll get hits in the car – I remember a few weeks back, I was driving to a friend’s and listening to something when an idea popped in. I had to carefully get a voice memo.
When Ideas Slip Away
Sometimes if you don’t write it down right away, it can disappear into the ether. When that has happened, I’ve said, “Okay, if this was meant to be, would you please allow me to remember this later?” Ask the angels – there’s a wonderful book called “Ask the Heavens.” Our spirit guides want to be of service, but they like to be invited.
R – Recognize and Respect
Honoring Your Life Experience
This is the letter I changed. As you’re creating content and hopefully gotten some ideas already, I invite you to recognize where you are in your life right now and what has come before. What life experiences have led you to where you are today? Respect those.
Mining Content from Experience
You can really mine wonderful content from your life experiences and even what you’re going through right now. Recognize that perhaps you are in a mess, but know that mess could have a message for other people going through something similar. Take advantage of that.
E – Embody the Message
Living Your Guidance
Live that guidance and then share it. When you are honoring your mess and embodying whatever insights you may have gotten, then when you go to write content or do a video or however you’re sharing it, that’s what’s going to create magnetic content.
The Importance of High Vibration
Before you go to write, you want to be in a high vibe state so you’re really coming from the heart. If you’re miserable, our words (even written) carry a vibration and your audience is going to pick up on that.
Sharing from the Heart
When you’re sad or angry or afraid, sharing something on social media right then is likely not the best idea. Your audience is going to feel that. When you can instead come from a happy place and then talk about “this happened in the past” or “I’m going through this,” it’s going to be much better received.
You want to come to a point where you can have a little bit of distance from those rough emotions. You can say “this happened and it sucks” but maybe do it with a smile on your face because crying is going to be felt.
D – Deliver with Confidence
Trusting Your Voice
Just trust your voice. Trust the message, even if it is messy, because there are people out there that need what you have to share. They need what you are selling and they are waiting for you to show up in front of them.
Authentic Self-Expression
Be your authentic self and start trusting that you have what you need within you. It’s just a matter of asking. Sometimes you do need some support. I’m in a program right now that is really helping me create my brand legacy, and it’s helping me in ways I didn’t even necessarily expect.
Light Language Healing Session
Introduction to Light Language
One thing I want to share with you is a light language message. This is a practice I’ve been doing for several years now, and it has really helped me strengthen my connection to my higher self. Meditation and journaling absolutely work, but this has helped clear out energetic blocks I wasn’t even aware of.
How Light Language Works
This is a sound healing modality – a multi-dimensional language that your left brain is not going to understand, but it’s designed for the right brain, your heart, and your soul. I will be speaking a language or singing (I’m never quite sure what comes out) with the intention that:
- The message you hear is for your soul’s highest good
- It will help clear away whatever might be blocking you from truly connecting with your higher self
- It will help you start getting more divine downloads regularly
Preparation for the Session
If you are listening somewhere where you are operating heavy machinery or driving a car, pause this and come back to it later. I want you to be in a place where you can be still and perhaps even close your eyes if you like. Just sit back and allow whatever sounds come through to speak to your heart.
[Light language session would be included here in the actual recording]
Booking Private Sessions
If you would love to have a private session with me where we can do a particular session geared specifically to what is serving you, go to gloriagracerand.com or bit.ly/LLEpodcast30. That’ll take you right to my calendar where you can schedule a session with me.
