Do you want to distinguish your small business from your competitors, and reach more customers? Social video is the way to go. That’s the finding of a new survey conducted by online video slideshow maker Animoto.
The company surveyed 1,000 professional marketers and 1,000 small business owners and found that the majority of them are embracing the overlap between social media and video.
Key Findings of the Social Video Survey
- 60 percent of marketers and more than half of SMB owners (55 percent) say video marketing is a “must-have” to stay relevant.
- 76.5 percent of professional marketers and SMB owners who have used video marketing said it had a direct impact on their business.
- Both SMB owners and marketers prefer Facebook for sharing and distributing video content. And they both rate Facebook’s effectiveness at 8X higher than any other social platform.
