For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been doing a Facebook and Instagram live where I share the Daily Word from Unity. These daily inspirational messages have meant a lot to me, and so I decided that I wanted to share them on this blog as well. I realized if I record on Zoom, I can get a transcript, which will save me some time. So here is today’s transcript of my Facebook/Instagram Live on the concept of Divine Order:
Daily Word: Divine Order
Today’s word is actually a phrase, and it is divine order and the affirmation is: “Divine order shows me the presence of God.” And then the reading starts off:
“Do you need me, I am there.” These words were written by Unity poet James Dillet Freeman and they remind me that the presence of God is within and around me every moment bringing order and peace to my world. I open my mind and heart to this divine energy and become more mindful of its activity.
I discover the order of nature in the changing of the seasons, the glory of the tree leaves and transition and cyclic ocean tides I find intricate order in the masterful work of my body as it functions to keep me healthy.
I am grateful for the constant presence of order if I ever need a reminder of it, I simply turn within and recall the words I am there in all ways I am blessed by the magnificence of divine order.
And then, as always there’s a reading from scripture this is Jeremiah 32:27. “See, I am the Lord the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me?”
Isn’t that good to remember? I’ve said this before on some of these recordings. And I have it as a reminder, I’ve got a sign up in my office that I painted a few years ago and it says ‘With God, all things are possible’ and that’s what Jesus said, “With God, all things are possible,” so how can anything be too hard for God, right?
So let’s talk about this concept, a little bit, that divine order shows me the presence of God. That’s the affirmation, “divine order shows me the presence of God.”
I mean there are so many instances of divine order in our natural world certainly you know you look at the plants and the trees and animals and, what do they call it? This fibonacci circle is sort of a way of being able to display that but, but you know, looking at how the you know when you see flowers and they and they just perfectly aligned with all of their their pedals and everything.
And just knowing that our bodies, I mean all the things that our body has to do every day to keep us breathing and moving; things we don’t even think about consciously. Usually we aren’t even consciously aware of our breath, let alone our blood flowing through our body, our heart beating. It just does all these things on its own. I mean what a blessing, that is to know that we don’t have to worry about that because Lord knows, there’s a lot of other things we have to worry about in the world every day. Whether that’s getting up and going to work, whether you’re owning a business, taking care of your family, taking care of your pets. And to know that this, this machine this wonderful machine that we live in every day that our soul lives in can just help us to do these things, where we don’t have to consciously say Okay, you know lungs, make sure you’re breathing for me today. Heart, I need you to beat for me. We’d never get anything done if we had to spend all our time talking to our body and making sure our body was working in an optimal order, divine order.
So let’s think about how we can keep that in mind. Now let’s take it another step, because I know, and I think I may have even talked about this last week that you know, sometimes things happen in our lives and our world that cause us to kind of pause and go, “Why did that have to happen?” Something we were planning didn’t turn out the way we planned or maybe we were going to do something and now somebody cancelled and nothing is working out right that we want.
When we can start to hold the affirmation that everything is working in divine order, then it helps us to be able to manage those things that seem to be NOT in divine order. Because what we can do is, we can let go and let God and just trust that everything is still going to work out for us, maybe not the way we planned, but perhaps in a better way because of divine order. If we can trust that and Oh, I know why this is fresh in my mind, I was, I had an interview with Melane Mullings last week for my podcast and actually her episode is live today on the Live. Love. Engage. podcast and we were talking about this, that being able to trust in God that when things don’t… seem to go awry.
That she had something happened, where she had an opportunity, and then, for whatever reason it fell through. And you know she could have been really down about it, but she decided to just let go and trust that something good was going to come out of it and sure enough, and I think this was like months later, something happened that was so much better for her than if she had had this other thing happen if she had followed through with it. It would not have impacted her life in as nearly a positive way, as the fact that she let it go and she was able to do now this new opportunity, and in fact this this happened to me.
Several years ago I was going to do a workshop and it kept getting postponed. Things kept happening, and you know first time I don’t even remember what the case was but I wound up even changing the whole name of the workshop and sort of the direction of it. And then something else happened, something else happened, but when it finally did happen, it was so much better than it could have been, and so I just along the way, just kept trusting, okay I don’t know why things don’t seem to be working for this, but I’m going to trust that it will work out.
I was also, I think, reading “The Science of Getting Rich” at that time by Wallace D. Wattles and he talks about this as well. About just holding that faith that sometimes when things don’t work out for us that it’s because there’s something better coming down the Pike as my mother, used to say. That was her expression.
So that’s what we can do. We can just trust that everything is happening in divine order, even the things that seem to be not that way at the moment. But let’s just trust that something better, or it will actually work out later, but maybe something better, is in store for us so.
Again, “divine order shows me the presence of God” – that’s our affirmation for today and I appreciate you watching and if you’d like these, I hope you share them and again check out my podcast live love engage and find it on all the podcast platforms and until next time, I encourage you to go out today and live fully, love deeply, and engage authentically.
