I recently had an opportunity to record a series of videos for eHow.com on a variety of topics related to social media. In this video, you can learn how to export your Facebook message history.
For some reason, I can’t embed the video on my blog, so you’ll have to click the image to watch the video, or click this link: http://www.ehow.com/video_12247451_export-facebook-message-history.html

I’m Gloria Rand, social media consultant, and in this video I’m going to show you how to export your Facebook message history. Now Facebook doesn’t let you do this so you’ll need to go to the Firefox browser and use the add on tool, Facebook chat history manager. So in order to start the process you first need to go to Firefox and log in to Facebook. Then go to the Firefox add ons web page and type Facebook chat history manager in the search box. When you find the correct add on click add to Firefox. Once installed click the tools menu on the Firefox browser. Select Facebook chat history manager and click create account. Type in the password of you Facebook account then retype it to confirm and click create. Then click tools again, Facebook chat history manager and export history to save your messages on your desktop. You’ll be prompted to type in your Facebook password once again an then click OK. Then you’ll have to create a folder to put your message history. Now when you won’t have any old messages to go in here that happened before you installed the tool. But now once you’ve installed it any new messages and chats that you have with your Facebook friends will be saved. And that’s how you export your Facebook message history. I’m Gloria Rand. Thanks for watching.
Great information. Lucky me I recently found your blog by accident (stumbleupon).
I have book-marked it for later!
