Welcome to Live, Love, Engage.
[00:00:37] Namaste and welcome to Live, Love, Engage, I am Gloria Grace Rand, and today I am really excited to talk with some wonderful woman about how to clear stress in three minutes or less. And I love how that rolls off the tongue. And her name is a wonderful name. Her name is Joy. So I’m first off, welcome to Live Love Engage.
[00:01:07] Thank you. That is a wonderful name as well, rise to top.
[00:01:14] Thank you. My mother appreciates that because I take no credit for it. She’s the one her name.
[00:01:19] But I like myself to remind myself of what I decided to embody and it would suit me. Well, I highly recommend it.
[00:01:26] I like that. I think that’s a very good way to do because you can we can change whatever we want
[00:01:33] And can’t we? Absolutely. Well, that’s
[00:01:38] Ok. That’s just we’re just getting into this interview already. But I do want to actually share with my listeners and our viewers out there a little bit more about why I have you on the show today. So Joy is a stress and trauma expert and ex corporate executive and inadvertent shaman. OK, I’m going to have to ask you about that later. She has died six times and each time she has been returned with different perspectives and uncommon abilities to help others. And she is living proof that you only get to die when it’s your time. Doctors have given up on her on six unrelated occasions and she had to learn to heal herself. And she is survived more than a dozen holistic healing modalities and is living proof that incurable means curable only from within. Well, I believe that, too. Absolutely. So let’s get right to it and talk about when I mentioned at the beginning. So how did you become an expert on clarey stress in three minutes or less?
[00:02:53] I was hit by a drunk driver that yes, yes, it’s. I was twenty four years old and I was at the top of my game and I had actually just recovered from the first time I died, which was at 15, flying off the cliff on a motorbike, I was declared dead on the operating table for two and a half months. And when I was returned the deficit, I’d never walk again and that I wanted to amputate. Monday, I told the doctor I’m not only work, I would dance on his grave. And that’s actually how I became a little wedding ballroom dancer. But I smashed on one so badly that nobody noticed the changes vertebrae in my spine. So it took me about seven years to literally get back on my feet and discover that I had a real neck, the building businesses and making money. It was my favorite thing. And I was married to a man who loved that about me and he was a good husband. And so it was a match. And I grew pretty quick, too big for my little country, New Zealand, and I needed to big how to swim. So I persuaded him to move to Australia so that we could grow our business there. And I’ve been there just a few months. I was hit by the drunk driver and all of the spinal injuries from the bike reactivated.
[00:04:23] And I couldn’t I couldn’t walk or stand for more than a few minutes or speak without stuttering or lift a glass with my left hand until 70 percent of the strength in the left side of my body. But the most challenging thing was any time I went into any kind of stress, the soft tissue would swell at the back of my neck and my blood would stop going to my brain. And I would have about three minutes before that that I never knew from any of blackouts. And I was blacking out several times because it was a very stressful time. And each one, as I know, each one of those blackouts caused an oxidative stress wall in my forebrain. So after a couple of years of oxygen deprivation, said you’ve got to be dead over by the time the. So I worked with this for 18 months as I learned to become an expert on living space in three minutes or less because it was there to die. My tools are very good. And sharing them is what? What makes my crazy costume makes sense? So death taught me how to live. When you wake up in the morning and if you don’t know what, you’re going to see the end of the day. You get a really good opportunity to have a look at your life and go, well, if I decided I want to, God is the sum total of everything.
[00:05:53] I got all this money I brought through the glass ceiling, all of these industries, and I just never consciously body do it. And suddenly all of the things that I had considered so very impressive. Just to show that this is some kind of movie thing that No. So I sat until I found something that I would be proud to go. And it was I made sure that I touched Module’s. That what I found with my. So after the doctors gave up on me, I started studying holistic medicine because. Clearly wasn’t able to die, I’ve tried to kill myself and that wasn’t going to work, proven that I couldn’t spend. So I. I set about healing myself and my journey through all of these incredible modalities that were pretty esoteric and hidden away. I uncovered these epic tools and skills and I would have given what I like, how to relax instantly, how to keep it clean no matter what’s going on to a straight from your body. These things alone rocked my world. And if you go to my Web site experience joy dot com, I will send you a video, a 50 minute video that shows you how to do these three things. And what I ask you as your major labels on a scale of one to 100 if you are being.
[00:07:29] And to each one of these tools with me giving it a go to find out whether or not it actually works, and when you get to the end and you measure those festivals again, you share these tools because everybody needs to know these things. Life is not getting any less stressful. Stress is the actual pandemic that has been on the planet for decades, killing people. The itemise tells us that more than 90 percent of illnesses related 90 percent. But then, Gloria, it’s not stressful situations that cause long term issues. It’s the fact that we have no ability to deal with the stress that situations cause instead of learning how to resolve that, which would give Typhoon Haddrick six, go to church with Hardwicke’s not to do anything except actually address the issue. And so we’re suppressing the symptoms, ignoring causes like it’s kind of like putting masking tape on the oil warming, largely because you don’t like the message that it’s sending you. It’s not a long term thing to do. No, definitely not. But when we go in and address the coolness. Sometimes feel like I have watched this miracle a million times. It never ceases to delight me a little bit more about that that now works in the box, is that.
[00:08:58] Yeah, absolutely. Please do. I would love that.
[00:09:03] So imagine your body is a three dimensional hologram with conscious subconscious and. So you’ve got an issue in the conscious mind. It’s a resentment around somebody. There’s nothing I can do about it. I’m just going to put it out of my mind. The issue that’s been created for your own personal growth and development isn’t just dealt with. It moves forward to a subconscious level that’s manifesting its dreams and straightforward illusions. You know, I can’t even look at it. This is a change from this that I’ve got no option but to move forward to a body level where I will manifest his pain and and just stay with me now. But as we just talk that. Instead of paying so much attention to an unresolved issue like that, we type it, which again, you might as well just take your batteries out of the fire alarm because you don’t want to waste. So not only is that is the issue is still in the body, but now we have to deal with and the issue gets deeper and it has to express itself. And more and more profound was my passion became psycho neuroimmunology, which is how do I fix that health and wellbeing, because when I first learned about this incident, the hell out of me mechanising G.M.
[00:10:29] would say, oh, that’s interesting. Let’s look at what part of your body the emotions is that this is not an emotional thing. I fell off a cliff on a motorbike. I was hit by a drunk driver. All these physical things happened to my body and he would say, yes, interesting how you only even though I fell off that motorbike wearing a helmet and a bikini, they never found the bikini top. Let me close by. Oteri destroyed my knee and my spine and. So let me just take a look right now where your issues are and your body, for example, if the issue is on the left side, it’s pertaining to home relationships, the. The issue is on the right instead with money. So if the issue is on the back, it’s passed, please clearly so we can move forward. If the issue is on the front is up to you with right now and then it goes into different parts of the body. And I did a lot of this from special specialist kinesiology, behavioral genetics. But another one is on life. If you don’t get it. It’s amazing. It’s a little I’m sure
[00:11:48] Every time I look it up, if there’s something’s going on with me, it’s like, OK, what is this? What is my body trying to tell me exactly?
[00:11:54] Because when we learn to listen to our bodies and give it what it needs, it’s yelling at you. I mean, I think one of the when I read that cancer was long term resentment’s. Lou, let me think about how many women we know have breast cancer, breast nurturant. How many of those women have spent their whole lives nurturing everybody except themselves and feel like she was able to get it where the cancer is tells you what the resentment is about. So I did my best to disprove this. Skeptics might be convinced, but after a while I realized, got this makes perfect sense. My body’s going to be all this time, actually. What are the most profound transformations that I experienced in talking to my body was after the bike accident? Wouldn’t doctors my legs? But I did what I would make them do because the pain was so bad and I had no. No idea how to deal with it beyond what I’ve been told, which was so different, the same thing. OK. I wondered why until you can’t heal or you darnton. It was only when I learned to treat my pain like a crying child and then hold my leg and say, I am so sorry, you are not a bit like you are a wonderful baby, which always brags about all of these things despite all the horrible things I’ve said. I’m sorry. Please watch your knee. I am listening now. Well, not coincidentally, things took quite a turn for the better after that. And I have. Over the years of learning how to do business and respect and respond to my body, I can make it impossible, impossible according to the list of medical decisions,
[00:14:16] What give me an example would be one.
[00:14:19] Well, I walked again. Oh, I have a lovely example. So after the doctors said that I would be blinded by life, I learned to treat my brain like a massively sophisticated organic. And so I learned how to read the neurological pathways of my brain to bypass all of the injuries because I no longer had access to my frontal lobes in the tests, my scan like an autistic child. And everything that people can say is simple. But in things that is difficult, I scan is genius because I think forward or the back. So I had to learn how to think up and down the state of this, my superpower. I can see things the way I don’t respond to life in the same way as many humans I can see and do things like look at a situation that business is an illness or whatever. Go and find out what their issue is, how it’s being affected, emotional realms and dimensions and what the solutions are in that situation. And transport something, so, for example, at 30, I had created Australia’s first end user computing support organisation, I had created essentially an entirely new industry within the industry to provide user support, which has been a moving target because it was the time with my friends in the studio. Yeah, I know. And so it was very simple for me to think that what was happening in the industry, what needed to happen in order to be able to try to save that, and how it became the first individual ever to be nominated for an excellent support in industry development. Congratulations. So I have a very different way. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Just the hell out of the old boys network, I’m sure, with them.
[00:16:28] Well, yeah. I mean, especially because you’re a woman in computers.
[00:16:31] No one diagnose me so much. I remember I created a program in which would solve forty six percent of the personal computing costs save and on average six point five million dollars before the department. And I was so proud of this. It was genius because. Right. And I’m getting from it’s like that’s what happens when you let a woman out of the kitchen. And I did. So I learned how to reprogram the brain by thinking you thought so? It’s not something that only I can do if you don’t have an autistic Fonzarelli, if you have a huge advantage because you can choose to create new thoughts or to think new thoughts. Yeah, you and to be honest with you, the reason the real reason that I can help to build is not anything to do with the ladies after when I am president is because people could look at me and go, OK, well, she can do it. I’ve got a chance. And it’s absolutely true, using the same tools that I used to be able to make my brain work in different ones.
[00:17:53] That’s awesome. You blow my mind a bit and I just and I love I love your energy and I love your enthusiasm. And I love that you’re also quite brilliant. So I’m just I’m really glad that you’re here. But one thing I wanted to ask you about, because I just I just loved the turn of phrase that you used in the bio. It said that you were an inadvertent shaman. So explain that to me. Oh, my God. What do you mean by that?
[00:18:26] It was not my intention of the business executive. I love building corporations, I love creating change. I love kicking ass and the old boys network. If you told me that, I would end up 20 years later as a shaman traveling the world, teaching people how to reprogram their brains, I would have lost you out of my space. But he’s a really good, honest. And as I began to access different parts of my brain, I gained different perspective and. It’s never, ever saw anything like this coming that when you don’t have the ability to think forward and back, I became a master of living in the moment and there was no way that I could do that. So I had no option but to give it all. All right. You’ve created me like this. So I guess this is how it’s going to be, which means that you have to organize everything because I can’t. I can’t. And that actually gave me an enormous advantage because previously, anything that I had tried to organize, I just I’m not good at figuring out how anything and maybe you’re the same way. Not so good at figuring it out. And yet had you noticed that even though you’ve never known how somehow or other the exact situation has been provided for you in the precise moment that you need it?
[00:20:10] Oh, absolutely. I just finished writing my first book and I talk about that a couple of times this happened. I had decided that I was going to run a mastermind and within probably a day or two, I got an email from someone who was teaching how to run mastermind’s. I was like, OK, cool, I’ll sign up for that. And then what was the other time was, oh, well, when I decided to write my book and this was a a download that I got during a meditation that God said, you you have to write a book about love like I do marketing. What are you talking about? But then that day there was an email from Hay House offering a writer’s boot camp on how to write a book. And it was like, OK, well, clearly this is more in their realm. So I signed up for that. So it absolutely to be aware of those signs, they’re out there. But I do
[00:21:04] Believe you have the right. Would you guess and if you bring attention of the USDA, will this not just take a moment to think, has that ever happened to you? Oh, no, I can’t think of a. It’s not about your angels get their ass off to make sure that you have what you need. And the more that you learn to give credit where credit is due, the more that you begin to observe and go. Actually, I think it’s not a coincidence that all of these things have happened so that I can do this. And it happens, of course, at the time. Never a moment to say, never a moment to wait so that, you know, it’s. Yeah, absolutely. And that includes all of the extreme challenges. That includes all of the things you need to think that you’re going to be able to survive. I understand those things and you just do.
[00:22:05] Goodness gracious.
[00:22:08] So basically, I mean, I’m I’m I’m in this situation right now. I’m in number six of the incurable diagnosis with my job. I am the first for if you have any kind of medical sensitivity to mind. Nearly killed me literally. They were out of my mouth just in time for an incurable bone infection. And I lost my job. And then last year, I managed to bring up hope that last year a staph infection dissolved the bones above my trigeminal, exposing it. And that’s documented as the most excruciating pain known to man and woman I can verify. So I’m in a position where I’m going to fix me your options. And then the surgeon who looked at my mouth basically gasped, Consider my God, what happened then? I said, Well, not my bed. My dad wasn’t as bad off as you and I seem to be everywhere. So I that’s good. Tonight, it’s unfortunate because they released a medical condition. They had these skills. They had their place, but. You’re a living expert. That’s true, and I have already proven I’ve got to wait for that and get started on question and that these things will resolve. So I know it’s not going to come through a traditional. I’m fine with it. I set up a fund, the campaign, my all my predecessors. And obviously anything that you want to do in order to help keep my voice in the world is greatly appreciated.
[00:24:03] And I think that’s where it’s going to come from. This is community, some dissenting voice in the world. I know it’s something to pay for these treatments. For me, anything that I need is like ten thousand dollars treatment and treatments. So maybe there’s somebody out there to look for a job or. I don’t know. I don’t know how it will happen. I’m just giving thanks. So if you’re listening to this and watching this and finding any of it helpful or inspiring, want to keep my voice in the world. And, you know, somebody might want to basically use my legacy. I am doing all of these interviews now because. Whichever way it goes with my job, I am compelled to make sure that all of the tools and the skills that I had to acquire during life, strange and peculiar life, I want to make sure that everybody has them because you are living a more joyful, less stressful, worry free life where you understand where your body is saying and how to function with it. This is my legacy. So this is the end. And go to my website experience joy to come and gather up everything and find out how we can share this with people that you share them with. That’s my legacy to the good that we do this at and beyond. So, yeah. So that’s. Thanks for doing that. Absolutely.
[00:25:40] I want to ask you one other thing, and that is the fact that you said your joy is who you are, but you have two other descriptions of what you are. Can you share those with our audience?
[00:25:55] Well, I actually have a bunch of Facebook would only allow that. You just have one name. I was Joy Phoenix into spontaneous combustion just to exhaustion. And what white woman was actually the result of a prophecy? I got to choose these names. I mean, I’m like, really? That’s just as I’m just I’m a very low no tolerance for this. And now everything I teach, everything I have, it has to be read, makeable, applicable, demonstrable to produce immediate, positive results in three minutes on earth. So. It was good business, this is based on what was actually the result of the prophecy and can you describe I was at a press conference and I arrived a bit like not like everybody is gathered. And I and I just took a moment going round there and all of these other shamans gathered in the sacrifice to to bring healing to the Senate. And this meeting blink my eyes with that. He was doing his own thing, but he had gathered us here. And as I sat down with my best on the sets himself and a sister who works with the staff and I said, you have died six times in this life and you will die once more. But this time you will arise not as the Phoenix, but as the Tea Party from the original. I’m going to die if you like this wicked. I don’t think I want to take my own life because I was raised to believe that there was evil. I know. It’s just like.
[00:27:49] And if you think I’m changing my name again, this is just not his voice. So I did get sick that weekend, which freaked me out completely. But that that’s that story is. Is to wait a while, the this the show, but basically I was bitten by a brown recluse next to the brainstem, I asked his management for increased brain functioning and brown recluse senses. My presence, if you can alkalis this thing, you’ll get to live and and you lose twenty five percent increase by incentivising. So basically, I learned that peacocks are revered in so many religions because of their ability to eat poisonous plants and animals, snakes, spiders and that venom into the gory details. And in fact, I work with people who have incarnated into chicken and lineages and societal niches to alkalis the poisonous patterns in the Hines’s into the glory of choice. It’s there’s a lot of people who experience the collective. Wow, those are the people I help my mom because I am pacificism insufficient. So as I laid out, I had three fights the last war I had one last year, Black Widow came in and she was the one who taught me. When I asked her, I decided that in this painful, I type enormous gift, I would not stop until I had finished unpacking all of them. And I knew I wasn’t going to die because that’s already been made. And also Brown Recluse was the part of it that evolved into this next is even more peculiar version of myself.
[00:29:53] So I knew that this was an initiation and that I was going to get to the end of it. So I might as well get to the bottom of it and find out what the deal is to be. My mentor, she said nothing. So I took that as a yes and just went forward. Assuming she is my teacher, I am learning things because anything else, horrible things like what I bought is 15 Transylvanians. And and I, I, I think this is too big of a story. I’m not I’m not I’m not sure whether the appropriate audience will have to go down this rabbit hole, but basically she taught me alchemy. I learned accelerated healing. I learned about a whole different kind of way. I learned she did become my mentor when I asked her about how to grow and what she wants to do with that, she said, well, I need to venom to to provide the venom. And it was at that moment I realized I can use I can just figure out how to welcome once this venom, I can start dissolving. The oxidative stress was in my and it took me seven months, but I have access to so much more than I had before and. Yeah, that’s been a great, great gift. You see the first time, the first time I I realized just how powerful it was, I come to to Los Angeles and I was doing an interview with the L.A. Times when I believe they moved into his house and smells like a massively allergic to cats.
[00:31:41] Sneeze thoughtfully for an hour. This happened. So I was coming to fix this. So I put my hand, on the other hand, on the allergies, if you never forget this moment, I said, Grandmother Spider, please, can you help me? I felt the energy of the widow Cuma. I’m not kidding. Confront the black widows bitches you here, and they exploit my eyes instantly dried up, my throat opened up, I stop sneezing. I have not been allergic to cats ever since I spent the next six weeks cat sitting a cat who absolutely have to sleep wrapped around my neck is just so that’s an example of why I can be devoted to studying with the with my, my, my teacher. So the gifts from that were extraordinary. And then. And then I evolved my life process is one of continually evolving into the next grandiose vision of myself, and I found that it works exceptionally well for me because I’m trying to be enlightened too hard and too much pressure. But in in continual evolution, I’m always perfect in my imperfection. So why drag in prison was the next office sized? Evolutionary phase, and that’s what I’m in at the moment, and it is a whole different level of alchemy that if I look at my life and go, Oh my God, are you listening to this story? It’s it’s I live by the 12th commandment. OK, and what is not bull? God loves you so much. Never boring. Never.
[00:33:32] I love it. I love it. And I love you. I am so glad that we connected. I love Facebook because it has for all of its faults and there are many it has brought me in touch with some amazing people. And you are absolutely one of them. And I am really blessed that you have entered my life. And and I hope whoever watching this and listening has gotten tremendous benefit out of it, because I know I have. And just listening to you share and share your story and to share the gifts that you’ve gotten and how you’ve overcome adversity. And that’s that is what life is all about, really. It is about living and growing and learning and doing it all over again. So I.
[00:34:21] We don’t get to choose what’s going to happen to us, but we can then to choose our responses and it’s this choice that matters because it’s this choice that determines what happens next.
[00:34:31] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:34:33] Thank you so much for having me on. And feel kind of wonderful words. Little thank you for being here.
[00:34:40] And again, make sure you’re listening and watching and go to experience joy dot com if you want to connect with joy. And I will have that information in the show notes as well and take advantage of that video that she offered to learn how to relax instantly. And because, yeah, the world doesn’t seem to want to get any less stressful at the moment, but we know we can do things.
[00:35:07] We got to scale up. We’re going to help one another up. It’s not going to get any less stressful. We need to acquire the skills in order to be able to. We need to be. We were born for these times.
[00:35:21] Absolutely, I absolutely believe that.
[00:35:24] So awesome.
