Do you believe it’s possible to cultivate hope when all around you the world seems to be operating from fear?
I do. I recently recorded a podcast episode about managing our emotions, in the wake of the U.S. Presidential Election. During the episode, I shared an essay I wrote that was based on an affirmation from the Daily Word. I’ve been writing these essays for a week now, and they are a product of Automatic Writing. I sit down at my kitchen table, read the day’s affirmation and start writing in a notebook. I’m not actively thinking, like when I do to write a blog article. I’m just letting thoughts come through me from my Higher Self. Here is the essay I wrote today:
I am hopeful and positive
I am hopeful and positive. No matter what challenges comes my way, I rest in the security of knowing God is at my side and will guide me through life’s journey. I only have to ask for help and it is given. This gives me the peace and serenity, knowing I am always taken care of and am never alone.
Hopefulness and positivity are not nebulous concepts, but my watchwords to hold me, to guide me, to protect me because they all come from love, from God, the omnipotent creator of all. How can I not be hopeful when all that I desire is at my fingertips? I only have to act in faith and love, knowing my Redeemer lives and moves and breathes the breath of life in me.
I walk and run and go about my day secure in the knowledge that I create my world and I choose to be hopeful and positive no matter what the outside world projects – that is not my world. I am protected, I am loved. I am divine and nature is friendly towards me. My heart leaps in gratitude for the wonders of this earth, the people in it who love me and even the ones who are not awake to the Christ that resides within their souls.
We are all connected by that golden strand of love. How can I not be hopeful and positive when the world is my oyster? I only have to move, act and be one with the Christ, one with God, letting love radiate out from my heart, healing and touching everything around me. The Lord is my light and my salvation. I shall not want. I seek and I find. I ask and it is given. Life is joyous and a miraculous gift for all to share.
Thank you God for the gift of hope, the gift of love, the gift of life! Amen! Alleluia! Praise the Lord!
